Good science schools

My goal is to get into medical school and although I know it's not necessary I want to major in some kind of science(something related to life science) in University. What universities have good science majors? I would prefer California but if there are any on the east coast, that would be nice to know as well. Thank you!

UC Davis
California State U-Chico
Lewis and Clark College
Oregon State University
George Fox University
Washington State University
U of Washington
Occidential College
U of San Diego

UCB, UCLA, UCSD are all the best in sciences.

How about a certain school in Palo Alto?

Besides Stanford, of course. That should go without saying.

Pomona, Claremont McKenna, Harvey Mudd

"Science" is really general...

Actually Claremont McKenna does not really have that much of the sciences on its own. It's more focused on humanities.

Although it is in Texas, Rice University has one of the best medical school placement rates in the country, and is great in the sciences.

This is where I would usually preach: Go to Mudd!

But I'll be honest with you. You'll get a second to NONE education but the grade deflation will not help when applying to med schools.
