what is a decent score for low Ivys (like Cornell)?

Probably at least over 30?

But I see ppl going into Ivy with 27 and lower.

30-31 is probably decent, 32-33 is good, over 34 is great.

yes i'd shoot for 34+ for ivies, although anything over 30,31 would be do-able.

Cornell has high ED acceptance rate. Apply early if possible.

You can look at the mid-50% range for ACT scores for admitted students at each school.

My daughter is at Brown and had a 30. The subscores at all indicative of how she might do in her proposed field averaged 33, if that is relevant. (Someone once said on CC that Brown was one of the schools that will consider subscores in their evaluations -- I don't really know.)

I think a decent score (as shown in the stats) will qualify a person for consideration, but you need more pluses in the application to actually get in.

You can only do the best you can do, apply, and hope. I never understood how one can "shoot" for a particular score :)

Shoot for a 35-36 if you want the ACT score to be a strong point on your application.
