Good Sign?

Emory just sent me an email for financial aid 5-7 days before decision day. So, should I be hopeful or am I reading too much into things?

To be honest, I’m guessing it’s just an automated email to everyone with outstanding financial aid requirements (I got one too). I could be wrong though. I initially had the same reaction.

Wait, is this saying “you still have some outstanding items for financial aid”? All of our requirements are in and we didn’t get that letter.

Yes, @jocjarmom . If your requirements are all in then you wouldn’t have received an email.

BUMP, Why would they send it this late if you were denied.

I don’t know why everyone’s so excited to receive these emails from schools. It means part of your app isn’t complete. O_O

It would make absolutely no sense for the university to send you that email if you were denied less than a week before the admissions decisions are released. Hopefully it’s good news!

I recall this occurring during the Early Decision release process as well, and it did not always correlate with an acceptance. Granted, many that got the email did get in, but more likely the email was simply sent to all who applied for financial aid and had outstanding items. I would not interpret this as sign either way.

I think it was a good sign because I was accepted last night. Good luck everyone. -God’s blessings
