Good Sign?

^ you are sure in! but out of 10 people only 3 got a call! a lot of rejected this year!

I feel doomed. I haven't turned in all of Financial Aid stuff and definitely did not get a call yesterday.

Yeah, I got no call, and all my financial aid stuff WAS in. Not a good feeling knowing there are calls going on out there.

Haha but if every acceptee who needed financial aid got called… well, the department would be quite busy, to say the least.

yeah, but i think it’s equally as unfathomable to call EVERY applicant a week before decisions just to see if they had any questions!

who knows? all we can do now is wait.

I doubt they would call evey accepted applicant either, so def. don’t stress over not getting a call.

i agree. maybe they all have something in common.

Maybe… if they are only calling about 2000 accepted applicants, it would still be a big number… but calling every applicant would be madness lol

Well, that’s the end of that, I guess. :frowning: Oh well, at least Oberlin said “yes.” :)

no call for my D!! anyways no much hope!! already 2 waitlisted and 1 rejection!! very disappointed results!!! and it’s gonna be worse… i’m very negative today!!:(

I think it IS a Good Sign !!

Financial Aid at Brown is going to be pretty tricky this year, as it will be at many, if not most, of the top tier schools who guarantee 100% need met. Brown’s aid is very good. So they want everything to be in order. They have increased the amount of money in the financial aid budget, and at the same time they have had to decrease many other budget lines. They want to get it right. While all of your phone calls may, indeed, be good signs, I would not read too much into it, other than intense scrutiny and very intense negotiations. They will send out FA packages with admissions, as long as you have all of your paperwork done. The other thing they have tried to take into account is that many people have had financial changes since they filed for the aid way back when. They want to help as many students as they can. So, good luck to you all, and you only have a couple more days to wait.
