Hi guys so I like to think of myself as a good student but the problem is I have absolutely no idea which colleges I should apply for and it would be awesome if you could help me out!

I have a 3.6 UW and 4.3 W gpa along with a 32 ACT. I've collected around 100 hours of community service so far via assisting basketball camps and am now doing a program which allows me to tutor homeless children.

So if you could list some schools that would be reaches, matches and safeties for me I will give you many thanks.

Also I am a four year tennis and basketball player with two years on varsity each

Well where you attend depends on what you wanna major in and where you wanna be. Is there any subject you’re really interested in? Or are you gonna start off as undecided? And location is also part of picking a college…do you wanna be in the city? Go to a big school or a small school or somewhere in between? Do you wanna live by the beach? Stuff like that. Also, the rigor of the school and how competitive they are may affect your decision. So would you mind just maybe telling us a little more about yourself and what you want in a college? Then we can recommend some that you might like and we can look at your stats and see how you match up. I hope all that makes sense haha :)

I’d prefer a larger school, money is not an issue and I’m going to go in as a biology major. Thanks for responding!

And I’m a California resident

Sure thing :)

Ok umm…do you prefer to stay in state or does it matter? And if so, is there a certain type of school you’re interested in? Like UC’s, CSU’s, or private schools?

And how do you define large…like more than 15,000 students? I have to ask cuz everyone has a different idea of what “large” is lol

Oh and I know you said bio major but and specific type of bio major? Or just bio in general?

Note that at many UCs, it is easier to switch from bioengineering or other engineering to biology than the other way around, although it may be harder to get admitted in the first place to bioengineering or other engineering.

Biology is a rather broad field, so you may want to check each school’s faculty listing and course catalog to see if it has what interests you.
