when i really feel like just listening to music, i'll put on stuff i like to sing to or that just gets me into it...

but when i'm studying, nick drake are simon and garfunkel are reallly good to listen to. it's weird b/c i'm not really a huge big fan...i like them, but hardly ever listen to them unless i'm studying.

for study breaks, hip hop and a pop song everyone knows (ie, everyone can cream along too) are the way to go.

I would suggest mellow music, but not so much that it makes you sleepy. You want to find a good medium, where it's not so loud and interesting that you are distracted, but that it also doesn't get you tired.

Frou Frou, Death Cab for Cutie, and a lot of R&B falls into that category.

BINGO!!!!!

There´s nothing worse to study than silence, personally I´ll get even more distracted than when sorrounded by noise. If everything is silent around me I´ll end up day dreaming/falling asleep...but if I have music I can actually concentrate on what I´m studying...

i like megaman123's taste...
