<p>Hello All,
I am currently a Senior and going through this whole college application process. I am extremely nervous, however, because I'm not quite sure where I stand in terms of safety schools and target schools! Can any of you please take a look at my stats and give me a gauge of where i stand in terms of decent safety schools?</p>
<p>I am a Mixed African American Male (White and Black, European and African decent)
Member of varsity soccer and basketball for all 4 years.
Team captain of soccer team this year (senior)</p>
<p>Taking all honors courses this year (School doesnt offer ap or IB)
GPA: 94
SATs: (I feel like this is where I am most nervous about what my safety schools are)
1810 (M/CR 1160)
4 College credits from a college course taken my Junior year (writing course,Received a B+)</p>
<p>Had a job from June of my Junior year to October of my senior year (restaurant closed, worked 24 hours a week)
On the Board of the school magazine
High School Band Bassist since Junior year
Nominated for Posse Foundation Scholarship
Volunteer for the Parks Department (Went to low income neighborhoods and fixed up basketball courts)
Take College classes at NYU (medical sciences and mathematics) every Saturday
Co-founded a Non-profit grassroots organization that promotes stricter enforcement of gun laws.
Volunteered for an organization in England that takes kids off the streets and gives them a place to go and play sports as an alternative. </p>
<p>I have a bunch of schools on my common app, but I fear my SAT scores are holding me back from attending a wide range of schools, please give me some input and maybe some schools that would be an example of a safety/target school for me?
I'm undecided at the moment, but I do like Biology, as well as creative writing/ English. </p>
