Hi i want to know what’s a good textbook for self studying for the AP european history textbook??
I don’t mean review books by the way i mean a legit textbook?
Also don’t say ask a teacher at school becasue our history department lacks in talent or ability to do what they’re supposed to be doing and this class isn’t avalible in our school.
Thanks for you help!

I have heard AMSCO and The Essential Content are very good!! Im going to those too

Oh wait that’s for APUSH

The Western Experience by Mortimer Chambers. Get both volumes.

If you want to learn for the sake of learning, buy “Europe: A History” by Norman Davies.
[Europe: A History: Norman Davies: 9780060974688: Amazon.com: Books](http://www.amazon.com/Europe-A-History-Norman-Davies/dp/0060974680)

If you’re looking for a textbook to succeed in class, I have no advice for you.

I just started AP Euro at my high school. It is my first time with an AP course, and my teacher assigned a chapter of reading this weekend. My Book is “A History of Western Society: Volume 2 7th Edition” by McKay. I really enjoyed the reading to an extent, and it concisely housed a lot of information. Also, there are free study guides, vocabulary terms, and chapter outlines available online with a quick google search. I would definitely recommend this book.

my school uses a history of western society, too

but i hated it

Western Tradition by Kagan (et al) got me a 4 on the exam with little effort. If you pay your dues in class, you don’t even need that much review. I also used AP Achiever… Lots of people got 5’s with this prep book. I was just too lazy to seriously read all of it.
