Good textbook for Physics C self-study?

Hello,

I was wondering what are good review guides and what are good textbooks to learn from. Also, where could I find a well laid-out curriculum for AP Physics C? I do not want to read the textbook cover-to-cover; just the material that will be on the exam. Thanks in advance.

walker’s fundamentals if physics.

The textbook I’m using in my physics C class is Young and Freedman’s University Physics, 12th edition.

You can probably find the curriculum for physics C on the AP website somewhere.

i think you should just get a review book, no textbook
get princeton

A good textbook would be one that a college uses for a physics course for physics and engineering majors (not a biology majors’ physics course).

When I self-studied Physics C (Mech + E&M) I used Randall Knight’s Physics for Scientists and Engineers, vols 1 and 4. Princeton Review is the best book for cramming right before the exams :)

Certainly Knights Physics for Scientists and Engineers which you can find the whole thing online somewhere, lol.
The one I used for the college equivalent… It’s really good. (Lol, turns out I could’ve taken the AP exam in high school from knowledge from AP Physics B + Chapter 12 (rotation of a rigid body) in that book and likely could’ve gotten a 5).

I used only the Princeton review to self study a week before the exam and got a 4 on the C exam. I took B as a class a year before that. You’ll be set using just PR review as long as you devote enough time
