<p>I couldn’t agree more. Many students and parents these days do not know the risks of very high debt and see loans as money they don’t have to pay! And UMass is is solid for engineering and sciences. </p>
<p>UMass is not MIT but it’s in the top 50. And thus it meets the eyes of many great recruiters.</p>
<p>UMass has not done a good job at promting itself and packaging up the success of their alumni. There are many many executives in NE-based companies that are UMass graduates as well as many high profile graduates that have succeed on a National and Global-level. It is a shame that it has taken such a hard rap over the years…</p>
