Good ways to find an internship for HS student?

I'm a current high school junior, and I'm looking for ways to improve my college applications. I think a great thing to add would be an internship over this summer. I'm looking for a business/marketing internship. However, I have no idea how to go about finding one. Does anyone know of any good ways to find internships? I live in Long Island, NY for the record.

As a HS student you probably won’t find much, and if you find anything it will likely be unpaid. Try finding a part time job instead, fast food, retail, whatever.

Well I’m not looking for something paid; I already have a job. I’m looking for an internship to get experience in the business/marketing field.

Then you will probably have to wait until you’re in college. Most internships are for college sophomores/juniors, not high school juniors. But what I meant was having a job will look good when you are at the age where most people get internships.

But try messing around with this:

great work

Woah, internships aren’t just for upperclassmen at all! I know several classmates who have taken on internships as early as after freshman year of high school. The trick is to go to local, small companies and talk to the people there and express your enthusiasm and interest in that field. You can also talk to some of your teachers and tell them you want to know more about business/marketing that you can’t get out of just taking classes and stuff. Good luck!
