What types of things have you heard (or better yet you know if your child has participated) regarding the CCM Summer Intensive in MT? It’s a 2 week program…
I have heard of several students who loved it. I don’t know if this is still true, but in years past, Joe Deer - Head of Wright State’s MT Dept - was one of the faculty members. The CCM summer intensive was such a positive experience for some, it put WSU on their “MT radar”.

I’m the mom pf a proud CCU MT grad. The voice faculty at CCU is AMAZING!! My D studied with Jeffrey Jones and Ann Benson during her time at CCU, and also worked with David Bankston. Any suggestions they have are worth taking!
And I would really encourage you to get him into dance classes, especially ballet!

Thank you @austinmtmom !! The support here on the CC site is fabulous. And so appreciated! I’ve had some positive communications (in the past day or so) with the CCU faculty, and they’ve been great. 
Oh, and I have him signed up for introductory tap (beginning this month) and ballet (beginning next).
@beachymom UNCSA in Winston-Salem has a summer high school program. It is run by the stellar drama faculty, and I heard they are adding an MT concentration. My D did went to UNCSA for her Senior year of HS, and although it is technically a Drama program, there is a lot of time spent on vocal and dance training. It is also a lot more reasonably priced than some other programs.
