Hey guys, I just applied to the BOLD summer 2016 program as intern. Wondering if there are any more people out there that have applied and any tips for interviews etc…
Applied a week or so ago, not sure why nobody is posting, in the past years all the google BOLD threads were like 50 pages. My GPA is garbage at 2.9 but I got a lead generation and marketing business so I’m hoping that will make up for it.

@BigDawg69 Don’t worry my man GPA isn’t everything and I am sure that your marketing business experience will be a great addition to your interview/opportunity at Google!
Applied on the 10th. Looks like they said they’ll be reaching out around January. Anyone do anything extra/creative for their application? It looks like there’s a few creative pieces on YouTube and whatnot. Good luck to everyone!
@JaxsonZ lol no, stuff like that makes me cringe. Let your skills speak for themselves in my opinion. Red flag for me if anyone wastes their valuable time on something like that.

I applied a couple months ago. I haven’t heard anything and was also surprised that the thread this year wasn’t at the top of the search results. My gpa isn’t outstanding either. I’m a sophomore at UT Austin. How about you all?

You mentioned that you’re a sophomore - could you have applied for the Google Bold Immersion program (which is meant specifically for sophomores) instead of the Google Internship program (which is meant specifically for juniors)? The Google Bold Immersion program is closing its application Thursday night, and I just sent my application out for there. I received an email saying decision will be sent out in March, so if that’s what you applied to, then expect the same!
Hi guys, first time poster here. I applied to the BOLD internship in November. I’m hoping to go into marketing. A friend of mine did one of the Google programs (immersion i think) and said that those people have been getting interviews/offers since November. I looked up people on LinkedIn and it looks like quite a few people already have offers. My friend’s interviewing sometime next week for marketing, so I’m hoping that my chances don’t go down just because we both go to the same school and she has a referral.
There are candidates who have been rejected already so not hearing back yet isn’t the worst thing.
Hey all! I just received an email from Google telling me they are still reviewing my application. They also sent me information on what they are looking for in the interviews and information about locations. No interview yet though… Anyone else get an email?

I received the same e-mail today at 2:12! Seems we got the same exact e-mail 
Don’t have my hopes up at all, and feel as if it’s better that way considering it’s Google!! Landing this internship would be AMAZING but I’m not counting on it.
Would anyone like to share GPAs, accomplishments, etc?
