JUST GOT AN EMAIL FOR INTERVIEW! sooooo stoked!

I haven’t heard back myself yet, but I was wondering for those people who did hear back, if you could maybe give a brief summary of ~general~ things you’ve accomplished, ~average~ GPA’s, what you spoke about in your essay/application/cover letter.

Obviously maintain your privacy.

If you don’t feel comfortable don’t but I just thought maybe it would it could help out future applicants, or those of us who if we are not accepted this year but might reapply next year?

Tbh, the only reason I applied this year was because I didn’t want to sacrifice a referral…

Congrats Colbs!!! Yea I agree with yoona9 if you could give us some backgroud info. on your application that would be awesome! And like what date you turned in your application would be helpful so I can know how much longer I have to wait for till I hear back.

Thanks and best of luck on the interview! :)

hey all justfound this thread. I also applied for BOLD havent heard back yet though. I go to Penn, poli sci major and my GPA is 3.88. Hopefully they will take people that arent business/tech but we’ll see.

Welcome yeszir! Congrats Colbs! I still haven’t heard back yet, but I applied on December 16! Hopefully I’ll be hearing back soon and I’m praying it’s good news!!

Any feedback from those that got interviews would be awesome! :)

Like I said, I wasn’t going to apply this year but didn’t want to sacrifice a referral from a Googler. I stalled on my application, and submitted it on December 31st (aka the day it was due).

I go to a top-tier univ. but my GPA is crappy (2.5 on a 4.0 scale). I’m doing a Psych + Human Resource Management double major.

I’m also Canadian* + part of like, 3 minority groups. Idk if that helps.

For the BOLD essay, I talked about how being a part of the Google company would allow me to make a difference in how my minority groups are viewed, even if I make small impacts (since Google is such a big company, those small impacts would in fact be magnificent).

IDK, tbh, I’m expecting a rejection. I know I face toughhh competition. What about you guys.

*I’m on this forum because I haven’t been able to find any Canadian forums discussing the BOLD program.

well i don’t know if i got in or not…but here’s my stats…

doing BS in biochem and MBA at the same time from a top 50 university. My gpa is 3.8 (for the bachelors) and 4.0 (for the mba). I have a whole bunch of ECs and I applied twice, once right when the apps opened and once when i got my grades around Dec. 16th.

I don’t think it matters when we applied, they’re probably randomizing the list of applicants and just going through them that way.
If people who applied first, heard back first, I would have heard back long ago (unless if there was something VERY wrong with my application).

COLBS, can you please describe a little bit about your application… just in general, maybe your GPA, university, reasons for applying, past work experience. I just want an idea of what they are looking for because I am planning on applying next year. I would appreciate any and all advice.

*I’m on this forum because I haven’t been able to find any Canadian forums discussing the BOLD program.

What school do you go to? (I’m a Canadian applicant as well)

I go to U of T.

I’m waiting to hear back as well—I figure the more stats, the better.

Math/CS double major, 4.0 from top 10 liberal arts. Handful of solid EC’s. Otherwise plain old white man.

Congrats, Colbs!

At Bellevue College majoring in Communications and minor in Marketing.

I worked as an apprentice at Microsoft my senior year of high school. GPA 3.7
I’m middle eastern. I submitted my application like Jan. 1st and still haven’t heard back yet.

Hey yoona9 I go to U of T as well:) gluckkk

Yay, its good to see other people from U of T as well! I hope at least one of you guys get’s the internship (yn). I’m not even optimistic; my GPA is so crappy and my ECs are non-existent lol. Best of luck to all of you! And update us as you go along (I could totally use all of your advice for next year).

I didn’t get ittt

Oh well next year:
