Just got a rejection email guess they are still sending them out. Dang it. Good luck to those who are still waiting!
Edit: stats for anyone wondering - 3.99 unweighted GPA, 31 ACT (33 superscored), attending University of Washington (directly admitted to CS program). Female, Indonesian-Taiwanese.
@iloveescargot sorry it didn’t work out
Has anyone who only applied to CSSI even gotten accepted yet?
did you apply to just CSSI or the scholarship too?
@cliffbar just cssi!
@iloveescargot Congratulations for the direct admit to UW CS – that’s outstanding!
Just got a call, I got in!! I applied to Chicago. Stats/info if you want to know:
- 3.9 UW GPA
- 32 ACT (32 M, 34 E, 30 R, 30 S)
- Only have taken AP computer science (which I’m not particularly great at, only have a B+)
- essays were honestly okay
Good luck to those who are still waiting and congrats to everyone else who got in!!!

I got into the California session.
I don’t think I did then. Didn’t get a call
I got into the Chicago session! I was sleeping at the time so I was quite unprepared, lol. Can’t believe I got in though O_O I put a couple puns in my essays, maybe that helped
They left a voicemail… I got into the New York session
Jk just got into mountain view!
I got a call yesterday. I got into Cambridge. I think they look more at your essays than your stats because many people stats are waaayyy better than mines
Hi everyone. This is a little late but I got the call for the Seattle session on Friday! For all who are wondering, my GPA is a 4.0 UW/ 4.3 W, 32 ACT, and decent ECs. They definitely weighed the essays the most in the decision (as my stats are definitely not spectacular), I talked about teaching myself how to edit my Tumblr blog (don’t hate me) through html and how I noticed how easily small corporate issues could be fixed with a little coding (through observations at my internship). Congrats to everyone else accepted, and good luck to everyone else in your future pursuits! This program definitely caters to a very specific demographic.
Hey! I’m using my dad’s account to post cause I’m too lazy to create my own. Anyways,I got into the Chicago session ! I was honestly really surprised cause I heard that CSSI is really competitive . My stats are: 32 on ACT (33 super scores) 35 Science, 31 Reading and Math, 34 English; GPA: 3.84 UW, 4.7 W, and okay extracurriculars . I am attending Georgia Tech next year for CS. For the people attending the Chicago session, how are you planning on getting to the headquarters if you don’t live in the city? I live in a suburb of Chicago, and I was planning on taking the train and am hoping to make a couple friends attending the session who plan on doing the same.
