@ancientfan I haven’t heard or seen mention of waiting list anyway on their website or the internet. But did they contact you and explicitly give you bad news? Because they will be notifying people until early May. Still a couple more weeks.
Yeah @BirdBolt they already notified me earlier today about being “unable to move forward with my application” for CSSI! Does anyone know any other alternative coding programs for high school seniors?
I know lockheed martin has coding competitions once every year (it runs only for one day) called Code Quest. However, you need like a teacher (coach) from your school, and a partner or two. I don’t know if they already did it this year, but you can search and get more info
I don’t know where you live in relation to NYC, but NYU’s program application is still open.
As I posted in the other thread - I talked to a Google rep, one who helps choose students and recommended me to the program in the first place. Apparently there were a lot of students with amazing stats, essays, and going to the elite schools. However, CSSI wanted to have people of a range. There were less applicants will lower stats, so it was easier to be admitted. There was a high number of students with 3.7+ GPA and 2000+ SAT, etc. and they couldn’t take us all.
I am in the Stanford 2020 and Harvard 2020 fb group and so many of us applied and like one or two of us got in.
Did all notifications come out alreday? I applied to both scholarship and summer program and I have not heard from them yet…
You may be hearing today or tomorrow. Final few decisions come out on Friday I believe
