@Akatsuki034 Hey, I created a Facebook group for those accepted into the Cambridge session and think it would be awesome if you joined. Shoot me a message if you’re interested!
I think that a Facebook group is awesome!
I got in as well, and will be staying at the same location!! Can’t wait to meet all of you there!

Is there a FB group for the Mountain View session?
@cpretiz I don’t know. No one’s even mentioned the mountain view session in this thread so far. I checked facebook and didn’t see a group for the mountain view session this year
When is CSSI Seattle? P.S. Please add me to Cambridge fb group!!

I got in to the Chicago session! anyone else also attending in Chicago?
my daughter did CSSI a couple of years ago and thought it was great. There are a couple of web blogs out there that give you a day by day account of what you do
@collegedad13 cool. I actually found one from 2011. The girl said that Google gave them free Nexus phones. I was about to get the 6P, now I’m wondering whether I should just show up there, maybe they’ll give me one free, lol
I know there were at least two blogs from 2014. I believe one was from Palo Alto and one was from Seattle. As I recall in 2014 phones and laptops were given out but they had to be returned at the end of summer. I do remember that is was very odd that the phones did not work inside the buildings and you had to go outside to make cell phone calls. The session basically taught the kids how to build web sites. From what I could get from my daughter I thought it was a very valuable experience. She is still friends with most of the kids she went to CSSI with
You get a lot of tee shirts back packs and other gear
@collegedad13 oooh that’s cool! Thanks for that info
Hi guys! I finished the program in Seattle and I just want to share a couple of tips. When applying, be genuine in your application. There’s really no point in portraying someone you’re not. If you’re admitted, congrats! Keep an open mind throughout the program and make new friends. You’ll be working alongside 29 people who are just as ambitious and forward-thinking as you are. Leave some room in your luggage, because Google will give you quite a bit of swag. If you’re going to the Seattle program, there is no need to bring an umbrella. It’s not as rainy as you’d think it’d be, and you’ll be indoors most of the time anyway.
That’s it for now! If you have any questions, feel free to inbox me. I don’t go on CC that often, but I might check back every now and then haha
I second that. I know @LowkeyWhaleShark , participated in the program too (though at a different location) and can attest.
