Received an email that my interview feedback was sent to the hiring committee about a week ago - the email made it sound like this is good news. Does that mean I have a good chance of getting the internship or is this something that they do for everyone? Thanks!

Do you mind telling me if you are a freshman or sophomore? AND also when exactly did you apply and when did you interview with Google cuz I got an e-mail from them saying they would like to move forward with my application and want me to send them my 1st sem grades… I am a freshman BTW. I think you are on track for good news. Can you tell me how the interviews went and how do you recommend me preparing for them? Were they hard algorithmic questions? Thanks a lot!

@cilrufox How’d things turn out? I’m sure by now, you have heard back. For the record, this is great news. Everyone who receives an offer goes through the hiring committee first. Before the recruiter sends your information to the hiring committee, he or she looks at interview feedback to decide whether or not it is worth sending. You have definitely passed a bar, if you are sent to the hiring committee. I haven’t heard of anyone (EP) rejected at hiring committee, but this is purely empirical, so don’t quote me on that.
Some of my friends received the hiring committee update a few hours before they received their offer, others received it a week or so before. But it’s definitely a great sign.

Did anyone already do an interview? I just got accepted for an interview. The interview is the super competitive part right?
