Got a 3 on AP Human Geo exam

<p>So I am a 16 year old, grade 10 going up to grade 11. In my grade 10 year I took the AP Human Geo course. I got a solid A on the course but a 3 on the exam (like what?). My dream colleges include UPENN Wharton, UC Berkley, and UCLA. Will this despairing mark of a 3 in anyway prevent me from getting in to these schools?</p>

<p>As for SAT, I have taken SAT II Math with a mark of 800, and am taking Physics next year.
For SAT I, I got a mark of 2100, but am taking again for better mark.</p>

<p>But please answer in accordance to the 3 of the Human Geo exam.
My parents are Asian so I don't even know how to break it to them.</p>

<p>You don’t need to send that score to any colleges if you choose. Colleges will never have to know. You can submit other AP Scores in which you did better if you want, and disregard this one.</p>

<p>And also, are AP scores just for credit after you get into a university or do they have a significant impact on application?</p>

<p>AP scores are just for credit, not for application purposes. The AP classes that you are taking will be beneficial to your college application. It’s one 3, so it won’t be a detriment towards your chances of being accepted. There are people that submitted a 3, but got into Stanford. You can send it or not send it, your choice. As long as you are sound in the rest of your app, you should be fine.</p>

<p>If it’s any consolation, I’m also an incoming junior who got an A in history but a (underwhelming) 3 on the AP test. You’re not alone!</p>

<p>well, I think competitive universities do, meaning the UC’s and UPenn. They probably want to see you challenge yourself and then do well. </p>

<p>Take what I say with a grain of salt though, I am only 16 and a rising senior.</p>
