Got a 3 on Calculus AB; Am I going to do horribly in BC?

Hey guys. So I made the mistake of calling collegeboard for my AP scores, and now I'm bummed out. I got a 3 on Calc AB, even though I thought I did good enough for a 4/5 and now I'm starting to worry about BC. At my school, people rarely do AB and then BC the next year. My question is, how much harder is BC than AB? Since I got a 3 on AB, is it a sign that I'm going to do terribly in BC?

Will you have to take two semesters of BC?

If yes, then you should have plenty of time to get caught up on what you missed from AB. If no, you will probably struggle.

About 1/3 - 1/2 of the BC test is AB material. Also, a lot of BC uses concepts learned in AB, so it’d be to your best to review any trouble spots you are having in AB (or even earlier, e.g. algebra, trig, geometry, infinite series).

If you take one semester of BC Cal that only incorporates the new topics, I would highly suggest you get some study material, SOMETHING to review the AB topics. Otherwise, you are going to, indeed, have a very difficult time understanding BC. The intertwining of the more advanced calculus to the more simplistic AB topics could be a hindrance as much of the previous topics will arise again in a new fashion. Polars and the area under them, integrating power series, etc. You need a solid foundation.
