I received horrible SAT scores, shocker! I got a 310 on math, 430 in reading and 440 in writing. I’m taking the next one in January and I need tips or just any feedback to help me study.
take practice tests… read Xiggy’s thread
a 310 means that you are failing to understand even the basics. Your best bet is to get an algebra textbook or a good review book to atleast understand the basic concepts. This will atleast bring you to the high 500s low 600s
@2ganja1289 I’ll have to agree with @Brajia. You may want to go over more basic math concepts and make sure you fully understand how to use them. My biggest test of understanding is, “Can I explain it to someone else?”
Secondly, use good test-taking strategies. It might be smarter to just do the first 10/20 or 12/20 problems on a section and get them right rather than rush through and make tons of careless errors. There are also strategies for guessing, etc. But understanding the material and being able to solve quickly is far more important than these “strategies.”
