I got a C+ in Math 20A in the fall quarter. then i switched over to the 10 series in the winter and spring quarter. Can I take Math 10A and will that grade cover the C+ i got in math 20A? Or do i have to take 20 A again? I am planning to go to Pharmacy school...by the way.

Any class retaken that you didn’t get A D+/D/D-/F/NP/U will be granted 0 credits (no regrade)

[Academic Senate Regulations](http://www-senate.ucsd.edu/manual/Regulations/PartI/505.htm)

That seems a little cheap though with the D+/D/D-/F rule since it wont count towards your GPA… And if it gets replaced later… Can’t anyone just get a D on purpose just to avoid a W and retake it again? Is there no penalty to this?

Lily, Unfortunately you can’t. 10 Series should be alot easier though.

The D or F grade is still present in your transcript–so grad schools, etc., will know that you didn’t pass.

It’s usually advantageous to get a W than to get a D->higher
