Last year, in Geometry, as a freshman, I made a stupid mistake by deciding to cheat on a homework assignment in front of my teacher. He reported me for Academic Dishonesty, and I failed the assignment. That resulted in a “referral”, with the event being on the disciplinary record without any consequences written on it. I did not face any major consequences at all, and it didn’t go on my transcript. Thus, my high school has a policy of not sending disciplinary records to colleges. Is there anyway that colleges can find it out or affect my application some way?
Congratulations on owning your cheating. If the incident is not on your transcript now, it has probably relegated to memory. You were young and admitted your error. I assume cheating is no longer an option for you. If asked, admit cheating and acknowledge poor judgment. Short and honest.
