I got a D- for AP calculus. I got a letter a months before applications were due from UC Riverside for automatic admission. With that D- minus would UC Riverside take that away from me. Please someone help thank you very much for your answers. Should i drop the class for the second semester for my senior year or should i work harder to try to pass the class Besides this is like my fourth year of math I think. Since I took Algebra I in the eighth grade someone tell me if I'm wrong thanks.

drop so it doesn't compromise your UCR admission.

I would suggest that working harder and bringing your grade up to a C for the year would be the safer course. In most cases, it is the grade for the year in a year-long course that would cause a school to rescind an acceptance. Talk to your GC to see if s/he has any experience with this situation, and in any case CALL the admission dept at the school and ask them directly. I'm not a CA resident, but I have the impression that the UCs do things very much by the numbers/by the book. You do not have to reveal your name or your high school when you call. Figure out what you are going to say in advance, to make sure that your question is very clear and precise. Writing it down would be a good idea, so that nerves don't cause you to mess up.
