Just wanted to make a post about the program (because it's faaantastic). Is anybody involved in AD? What do you guys think about next year's topic (American Civil War)?

im trying out next year!
i think its a really interesting subject and im excited to do it

Haha, yeah. Except I think last year's topic was much better (go China!)

Civil War should be fun though. Infectious diseases is the science topic. Interesting.

I would like to start it at my school. Does anyone know information or where I can information on starting it?

same here =) I'm interested in starting it too~

I'm so happy it's Civil War. China was a bit iffy for me, I still medaled, but I found it a little dry. My favorite will always be Renaissance though.

Personal favorite was definitely Lewis and Clark in my sophomore year, musical pieces were by the far the best of the three years, and Lewis and Clark was superior to Astronomy and Renaissance, but I guess that's just me. :/ Though China would have been sweet I'm sure.

Yes, I am taking the class and joining the team next year.

To Twirlonwater & icemistral:

You should go to usad.org to check out information about the organization. Talk to the principal about it and see if any teachers are willing to sponsor the program. It's a lot of work for the team coaches, though.
