Got accepted but cannot afford it...

First of all I’m a international Student.

Okay I’ve been accepted from a university but I cannot simply afford the college from the scholarship I received. They gave me $16000 and I have to pay $20000 to attend. I am really happy that they gave me such a huge amount of scholarship money but unfortunately it is impossible for me to give so much money. Therefore I was wondering to write a email and ask for more scholarship money.

Can someone please help me to write a email. I don’t know how to ask for more scholarship money the maximum I can give is $5000 yearly. I will appreciate any help.

Did you show that in your CSS profile? Which university is this? Do they promise to meet 100% demonstrated need?

If this is need-based aid, you can write to them, and ask them if it is possible for them to re-evaluate your aid application. If some pieces were missing, perhaps the aid offer can be improved.
