Got Accepted into Berkeley, Can't fulfill IGETC

I’ve gotten accepted into UC Berkeley for the college of L&S, but after doing research, I’ve learned that the college needs FULL IGETC for admission. I am only missing 1 course, which is a science lab. Anyway, I would’ve thought that they’ve looked into whether I would complete my IGETC or not on my UC Application, which I for sure didn’t add a science lab course. How do I go about this now? Any info on the Seven-Course Breadth Requirement instead of IGETC? Thanks!

Since it’s only a lab they might let you take in summer.

Otherwise you appear to have fulfilled the L&S breadth for transfer assuming you’re just a lab short of IGETC.

Let them know. They’re the only ones who can tell you.

Ofc you knew…they made you complete and sign a form around January stating that you’d complete full igetc by spring 2020. Everything is based on what you tell them until they verify and confirm your admission. You might get lucky, id contact their admissions office asap.

@caligood he might have overlooked the lab. It happens.

@Ohm888 youre admission wont be reviewed unless you submitted the form, that’s the thing. but it also says that there are three ways to complete the requirements.

" These requirements can be fulfilled one of three ways (IGETC, UC Reciprocity, or Essential Skills. All course work MUST be completed by the end of the spring term. You may NOT use the summer term to satisfy general education or breadth requirements."

You still have time to find a ccc on the quarter system and apply for a spring quarter class! It might be tough getting a lab, but since everything is online it might be easier! Profs also taking adds later. Week 2 in NorCal ccc quarter system.

@cali2good is coming in with facts!

Excellent job finding the college’s policy & quoting it. Your research will help other future students on here.

Thank you, that’s the main purpose of being apart of the forum, is to help future admits. And I personally went through the whole process of transferring out the past 7-8 months.
