Got accepted into UCONN, but...

Today I got accepted in UCONN but I got into the Waterbury campus because the Storrs campus (my first choice) was full.

This is the message I received:

Congratulations! On behalf of the University of Connecticut, it is our pleasure to invite you to join the incoming freshman class. Due to the rigorous requirements of the main campus in Storrs, we are unable to honor your request for immediate admission to this campus.

Does this mean that it's possible that I can be put on a wait list to get into the Storrs campus? This happened to my sister.

You weren’t admitted to Storrs because you didn’t meet their “rigorous” requirements–in other words, because your grades and scores weren’t high enough–not because Storrs was “full”. It does not sound as if you are on any waiting list or can opt to be on one, but you can certainly call to find out. It’s more likely that you can transfer from Waterbury to Storrs at some point in the future if your grades at Waterbury are high enough.

Well I know that if I stay at the Waterbury campus for like 3 semesters then I automatically get to transfer to the Storrs campus.
