Got accepted to cal poly slo

Got into Bio-medical engineering
GPA: 4.31
SAT: 2180

Chauchat, a problem with an SAT score submisison is one of the few things that can be used as the basis of an appeal. If there is a concern about this, someone should call admissions (even if the kids don’t know about it) just to see if everything is in their database and accurate. Well, that’s my thought at least.

I haven’t been on this thread since daughter #2 was rejected, but thanks, Mariner, for the input. It might be worth a call.

Accepted
Psych Major
Transfer Student
3.4 GPA
Yahoo!!!

what was your cal poly gpa?

i have a 3.2 GPA and no support courses for city planning. average gpa to get in is a 3.0. I went to a local high school and I am going to a local community college.

Is that mean you got in to City Planning with a 3.2 with no support classes? If so, pretty cool!

I think the average transfer GPA for the college of Architecture and Environmental Planning is GPA 3.31.

With 692 transfer applied, 82 accepted which makes 11.8% acceptance rate.

Well, that average for is the college. My actual major is easier to get into. And don’t know if I got in yet or not. I had the max on club hours and some other stuff in there.

I got accepted to the computer science program. 3.4 gpa and a 33 act composite.

Just got accepted to the Mech. Engineering major
GPA 4.66 W, 3.7 UW
SAT 760 M, 690 R
ACT 33 composite

My son was accepted last week - Business Major. He’s also in at Purdue, U of Oregon, CU Boulder, Westminster College, Auburn University, Florida Inst. of Technology, UCSC, LMU. Waiting on: UC Berkeley, UC Davis, USC and his #1 USC.

My cousin got into Psychology with a 3.7 weighted GPA, not sure about her SAT scores.

My daughter got into USC for Fall of 2010, but after writing a Pros and Cons list, most of it financial-related, she chose to attend Cal Poly. The reason she had applied to USC was for their 5 year Bachelor’s to Master’s Occupational Therapy program. But, the tuition was prohibitive. And if she chooses, she can always apply to the Master’s OT program later. In the meantime, we’re saving money! She’s actually thinking of Boston or somewhere else back East for grad school. Is your son at USC?

Hi! i wont hear back from cal poly SLO till April 1, 2012. i applied for the early decision, but they sent me a letter that i wasnt selected as one of their early decision applicants, however it said i would get full consideration for regular decision. i also applied for the animal science major. if you dont mind, what was your daughter’s GPA and SAT score? i appreciate it ^_^

^^^ I’m not sure if you were asking me. My daughter took the ACT and it was 30. Her GPA was 4.162 (3.98 unweighted). That was back in 2010. She applied Regular Decision. Best wishes to you!

ember248, my friend applied regular decision last year and heard from cal poly in february, and so did most other people. you won’t be waiting until april 1, the school will just continually tell you they don’t release anything till then, but thats not been true in the past!
