Im a transfer student and just got admitted to UT school of natural sciences. It was my first choice but I really want to do my second choice now which was in the school of geosciences. Do I just call and ask? and what are my choice? Because they only admit students in the fall for geoscience and I already have my general education classes out of the way.

I think you have to have 24-30 hours in residence before you can switch colleges.

But calling and asking can't ever hurt.

But just admitting students in the fall is different than accepting internal transfers, you may be able to switch after a semester. And I think a lot of the geo stuff requires a lot of natsci classes, so you can probably use those toward a major.
