balonce_noles, I doubt that there's any way you could earn enough part-time to cover $6000 during the school year. Workstudy jobs on campus are where you're going to earn the most money. They routinely pay more than off-campus jobs for students but it isn't recommended that you work first year and after that, you shouldn't be working any more than 10-12 hours a week. There just isn't time to devote to your studies if you are working in excess of that amount. U of T is a very demanding academic environment and it is difficult to get a good gpa without sufficient attention to your studies. Advanced credits are something you should discuss with the registrar of the college you will be attending at U of T. Canadian schools, in general, are less accepting of advanced credit than U.S. schools.

balance_noles, how is your situation?

thanks for asking, missbean :)

well, i absolutely HATE to admit it, but it currently looks like i'll be going to this LAC in the US. they're giving me massive fin. aid....due to finances, i probably won't make it to my dream school, but there's still till June 13 right? Oh, just pray that I go to U of T.

hope your wish comes true! ;) all the best in the meanwhile. it'd be really cool if you made it to U of T after all. =)
