I got accepted, but I got into sixth college. I've heard bad things about this college and wonder if and when can you switch colleges. Also, because of this college, should I consider not going to UCSD?

What's wrong with Sixth College? It was my 2nd or 3rd choice.

I heard some good stuff about it (which I can't remember right now) when I was researching the different colleges.

Camp Snoopy!

there is really NOTHING wrong with the college.....dont let that affect your decision

Arctic is correct. All colleges have their pros and cons but they should never factor into your decision haha.

sixth college looks like camp snoopy.

Once you get to upper division status (jr year) it doesn't even matter which college you're in. It's mainly the GE requirements are different and freshman/soph housing.

how did you find you have been accepted?

Sixth is fine, actually. I have lots of friends in Sixth who love it. Don't let it impact your decision.

^^ agreed. Sixth has good GE's and it seems like a fun college to be a part of.

I am currently a freshman at Sixth. It's such a fun place to be. If you ask me if I would trade colleges, I wouldn't do it for anything.

Sixth was my second choice.

I got into Muir though.

It was hard for me to decide between the two when I stated them on my app, but I think I choose Muir because of slightly easier GE's.

oh gawd... not another, i heard sixth college sucks thread...

you're going to ucsd. you're gonna like whichever college you're in. end of discussion.

pointless threads... >.>

Yeah, colleges DO NOT MATTER that much.. i believe all the colleges have the same number of GE's, 15... the only difference is the TYPE of classes.

And i really don't get people who complain about housing. You get a room with a bed, desk, and a closet. same as all the other UCSD freshmen.. There's nothing significantly different about the res hall housing.

Actually, Revelle has 22. All the other colleges have from 15-19ish, I believe.

And like everyone said, don't let it affect your decision. The college you get into determines where you live and what GE's you have. It won't matter after 2 years.

^ oh yeah, my mistake StanEda224.. I just checked and you're right. I'm in Marshall and I have 15.. And I thought I heard from someone that everyone had the same number of GEs..
