So I got a very generous grant and scholarship, but it does not cover everything. Is Rice going to contact us about loan information later on, or is what we see everything they’re offering us?

sorry if this is already stated, but when it says “No award information is available for you at this time, please contact the Office of Financial Aid if you have questions.” does it mean that I have to wait to find out or that I definitely didn’t get a merit scholarship?

Son was accepted with very nice Rice grant and work study (assume both need-based). Not to be piggy, but hoping for merit aid to come in snail mail acceptance letter. So glad we did not have to wait until April 1. Only one more college notification to go and hopefully some more financial aid.

I just found out that I got 17,500 in Trustee scholarship and got accepted to BioMed Engineering. Feels good.

Merit aid should be up already. Need based financial aid including, but not limited to loans, grants and work study should be out soon, if not already.

Merit aid is online already, especially if fin. aid is out

mhmm, my package includes a work-study and a Rice Tuition Grant, which is need-based, I believe.

I just called because my finaid section still reads that no decision has been made. The gentleman I spoke to stated that thats because we aren’t getting any finaid and they will send it in writing, in hopes of being a little more warm and comforting in delivering the bad news. He stated that they thought it would be “cold” to just say no on the computer. So I’m thinking that we aren’t getting merit either but they don’t want to stipulate that over a computer either.

Oh well, congrats to everyone else.
