I just got my acceptance mail today, which was actually mailed on March 11. It was in a small envelop, so I was expecting a rejection, but well.. :)

It mentions about the open house or something for accepted students in mid-April.. so Im thinking that they just send mails to applicants in PA maybe?

Good luck to you all! (My stats is not very good, if you are wondering, so I feel lucky and thankful..)

Congratulations!!! Did you portal also change?

Where in PA do you live? Im waiting on mine too.

Are these the diversity acceptance letters I’ve been reading about?

@Syoung2 Lancaster… Good Luck!!
@EdwardWitten I pretty sure that is. Good Luck!!

@Leilala Thanks! No… It hasn’t changed… I was ready for waiting till the last week of March as the email said…

So does this mean that if you didn’t get ur diversity acceptance letter you are not get in?

Leilala I really don’t think so. According to my letter, it says they notify us early just because of the event… And I think that’s for accepted students who are around…

I definitely think the letters that are coming this week are early notifications AND include the invitation for Diversity Life Weekend AND are early notifications because of the invitation to the upcoming weekend. We got the same letter and that’s exactly what it says.

Everyone else, do not worry. This does not say anything about your own decision status, it just takes a little longer. Judging by the userid, I would guess that Barcelotina is probably Hispanic. Good luck to all!

Son got his acceptance/invite today too. Lots more acceptances coming soon. Letter said that 17000 applications were reviewed for Class of '17. Their website says it was closer to 11500 last year. If that’s accurate that’s quite a jump!

Interesting, our letter instead said there were 12,500 submitted applications for this year’s freshman class, not 17,000.

I got accepted today as well. I’m an Asian male going into Engineering. I wouldn’t consider myself an URM lol as I kinda fit the Asian stereotype lol. Regardless, I am very thankful and definitely will be visiting this coming April!

You are absolutely right Specific. It says 12500 not 17000. Son got two acceptances this evening…that was the other one. Sorry!

Not being invited does not mean you will not be accepted!!!

@mumof2boyz… I totally agree!

@SpecificRegrets hahah Im not Hispanic. I am Asian… Well my letter has Congratulations stating very clearly that I was accepted and I totally agree that not receiving invitation DOES NOT mean you aren’t accepted!! So please don’t lost hope!! I am 100% sure there is another batch of offers has not send yet. Also, the letter I got IS JUST SERVING THE PURPOSE OF INVITATION for the event which needs to be responded by March 22. The letter says the official acceptance letter will come later this month! Good luck to you all!

One of my classmates got the letter. I’m an Asian as well. I hope i get in, but my hopes decreased today because I did not get a minority event invite while i live within an hour of the school. Congrats

Yeah I got the same letter and invitation today as well! So happy right now.
I’m also Asian and I’m in the engineering program, coming from New York.
Congrats, What major are you in?

DS is excited, or at least as excited as 18 year old males are willing to show their parents. Received admission acceptance and invitation to Diversity Life Weekend today. He will definitely be going. Engineering from Ohio. Congrats to all who have heard, and hang in there to everyone else.

No luck or word just checked the mailbox. Congrats to everyone that has gotten in so far. hopefully i will join you next week, but i doubt it.
