<p>I’m a white male and I got the diversity invite. I assume its also based on experiences, location of the country, talents ect.</p>
<p>Yes. I got the diversity acceptance. In the letter they said that we received our acceptance two weeks earlier than everyone else.</p>
<p>Um just a quick question… Did anyone notice in the letter that they offered to fly you out? I don’t know it didn’t seem like they would do that for just anyone so I got really excited when it said that in mine… I just want to know if they said that for everyone? Cause I signed up today and they are paying for my flight with has got to be like at least 600 bucks… idk… Did they say that in everyone’s?? No one had mentioned it and I was just curious!</p>

<p>It was in my son’s letter too. I think they made the offer to all of the Diversity Life Week invitees. Only those with a drive over 6 hours qualify.</p>
<p>Yeah I know I thought it was so strange! Like great, but really rare. I don’t know if maybe that means the people at diversity weekend are in line for a scholarship or what… I’m really not sure but I mean they aren’t going to pay that much money for every admitted student so… I don’t know. People are telling me that means I could be in line for the full/half tuition scholarships but I don’t know… I don’t understand the whole ‘diversity’ weekend… Like as to why I would be invited haha</p>

<p>It never even occurred to me that it was somehow connected with FA. The event is the 2nd weekend in April…shouldn’t we have FA packages before then? I was certainly hoping to. If pagages are still coming in mid-April that doesn’t leave a whole lot of time to make a final decision if you are comparing/appealing…before the 5/1 deadlines.</p>
<p>Dang I was rejected to uva today and waitlisted at northeastern. So glad I got my lehigh acceptance the other day.</p>
<p>As for financial aid, my acceptance letter said they were mailing it the last week of march so they should be available first week of april at the latest</p>
