I am a statistics major and got admitted for fall 2017. I failed a math class( which is NOT major requirements) in CC this spring. I will still complete more than 60 units and fulfill the other requirements. But I am so worried about failing this class would result in cancel my transfer acceptance. Is it possible that they will withdraw my admission?
Call and talk admissions. Even if the course is not a major requirement, you do have a provisional admission contract you need to adhere to which should spell out what is required to maintain your acceptance.
I called. But they said they can’t give me a solution before I update all the course I took this spring.
Until they have the finalized information, I guess they cannot re-evaluate your application. So have you updated your spring course grades?
Not yet, the other courses results have not come out
I updated my grade yesterday and got reply today morning.
It said "We have carefully reviewed your recently submitted academic records and/or correspondence, and find that you have not met your UC Davis conditions of admission outlined in MyAdmissions. These conditions require that you complete your remaining coursework with the same academic rigor and excellence upon which we based our admission decision.
However, we will make an exception and allow you to maintain your fall 2017 admission status despite the F grade in MATH 15."
Is that means I don’t need to worry about my grade any more? The F grade will not affect my admission offer?
They are letting you slide, but I would confirm with admissions that you do not need to take another Math course in place of the failed course.
