<p>Geez, I’ve never heard of someone getting kicked off facebook…</p>
<p>I got banned for spam… I was trying to send messages to all my friends to join this group.. they warned me.. but i just kept on sending messages.. lol. ended up getting banned (Terms & Conditions stated it would be permanently be banned for spam), however I emailed them and a couple days later and apologized and explained my intentions. they said don’t do it again and they reinstated my account. :)</p>
<p>Haha, I’ve heard of people getting temporarily banned for that before. :)</p>
<p>Haha the facebook guys are actually very nice! First time I created my account I said I was like 20 something just cause usually I never put my real age, unfortuantly I couldn’t join my network so I emailed them saying my brother was the one who created my account and he put a random birthday (total lie obviously..) and they changed it.</p>

<p>Lawl, on my old account, I got banned for three different (really stupid) reasons. Each time, I emailed them explaining my intentions and apologized; the first two times, they reactivated my account. The third, they were like, “UM this is your third offense. Sorry. No can do.” </p>
<p>ANYWAYS, yeah, don’t worry that it’s been a day – sometimes it took them two or three days to get back to me.</p>

<p>They ban people for such ridiculous reasons, ugh. Here is my fascinating story of my facebook bans: </p>
<p>I had this facebook group called “The Largest SECRET Facebook Group in the World” or something like that. Kinda self-explanatory. But you know how “secret” facebook groups require you to be an admin to invite new people? Yeah, so I had this system of rotating admins so that they could invite their friends and then appoint new admins to replace them. So, I sent a message to like six of them in a row (this was before multiple-recipient messages), which facebook perceived as “spam.” I explained my intentions and they unbanned me.</p>
<p>The second time, I was browsing the forums and I had “too many pageviews in too little time”? Lawl. I am a RAPID FACEBOOK BROWSER, apparently. Explained myself and got unbanned. </p>
<p>The third time, I was on the forums on one of those huge groups that takes spam really seriously and reports people for linking to any website. So I posted, like, a relevant link to Wikipedia (not an ad or anything) and was like “don’t report me plz :(” but apparently someone did and I got permanently banned. </p>

<p>It’s kinda sad how Facebook and similar social networking sites have become like oxygen for our generation.</p>
<p>I mean, for me, a lot of facebook’s importance (besides being a convenient point of contact for people with whom I otherwise wouldn’t have kept in touch… yeah, yeah, shows how important they are to me, but still!) was that I used its photo hosting very heavily. I didn’t delete the pics from my computer, so it wasn’t like they were ONLY on fb, but I spent a lot of time uploading and organizing photos from various occasions on facebook.</p>
