So I got "cheating", and I put cheating in quotes because I don't think it was cheating, but the I never received any disciplinary action. I got a zero on one part of the test, but it didn't affect my overall grade much. So I was wondering, when I apply for colleges, will they see anything about the cheating? Or will they ask me about it, because since I never got suspended or expelled I wasn't sure.

If any of you are wondering, I posted a video on my friends facebook wall, a video that was going to be on the test. And yes, I realize I'm very very stupid for posting it on her wall, so please don't give me grief on that. But, I never gave her any answers or anything, I just got a 0/18 on that part of the final.

When you apply for colleges, there will be a question. You have to read what it asks and should answer honestly.

I think the question is whether you have been subject to any disciplinary action (and that you don’t have to count stuff like detention for being late to class). But you have to read the question.

Now, here’s the important thing – you should answer each question on any application honestly and in good faith. You don’t have to answer any questions that haven’t been asked.

Also, if there is any question at all in your mind as to how to answer, check with your GC. I’ve read (here on CC) that the standard GC recommendation form asks a question similar to the one you have to answer. What you don’t want to have happen is for your GC to say “Yes --aroy15 cheated” after you’ve answered “No”.

Wow, that’s harsh. I would try to talk to the teacher or a counselor to see what will be of it and take ^^^^that information.
