<p>So yea I got contacted for an interview two days ago but I was told that the due date for them was quite a while ago (from various people). What does this mean?</p>

<p>Go to the interview. Final decisions haven’t been made as yet (they still have another month), so the info the interviewer sends could help your case. Deadlines are creations of the schools and not laws. They can bend them if they want to and need information. If Obama handed you a medal on March 20 for saving your school from terrorists and you let Princeton know about it, do you think they would say, “Sorry, it’s too late to add to your file …” ?</p>
<p>We’re only a few days past the recommended deadline, anyway. Admissions gives out these dates so they have as much time as they can to consider the report. That way, they don’t have to deal with too many that trickle in late.</p>
