Got deferred/am desperate

<p>I found out I got deferred from UVA (live in Northern VA btw), but I'm not too discouraged, and psyched about applying to new places!! (because UVA wasn't really my first choice but rather my parents')</p>

<p>Here's my stats:</p>

<p>-GPA: 3.78 (23/400)
-IB/APs: 10 IB/APs by graduation, 7 Pre-IBs
*<em>One C in AP Calculus with 2 from Exam (would this kill me..?)
-ACT: 28
-SATIIs: MathIIC:690, Korean:790, Chemistry:710, and writing: 550
-TOEFL: 273 (CBT) with 6 in writing (highest score)
*</em>Been in US for less than 3 years, was in ESOl class for a year, didn't know how to use speak English (knew very little about writing too)</p>

<p>George Washington has a good poly sci program and that won't be too tough for you. D.C. is the place to be for politics.</p>

<p>I'd say you'd probably be in at Virginia Tech, and W+M could be worth sending an app, especially if some of those other schools are common app.</p>

<p>how do you know that you already got deferred? im seeing all these posts and people are like "i got deferred...i got in...i got rejected"...i thought ED was DEC 15???? Im so confused! PS your stats are good don't worry</p>
