got in at RIT and Syracuse

out of these two which is better for business?

Syracuse. I believe RIT is more.. techy.

Syracuse is better for business.

They are both fine. Just pick the one that is least costly. I would even consider RIT (even if more costly) if they have coops in business.

Be advised, RIT is a very focused school. If you want a more collegate envirnment, strong school sports, Syracuse will probably be a better choice. If strong, focused academics are most important, RIT would be the better choice. RIT is not a fluff school, being on a quarter system.

i'd go for Syracuse myself.

I think Syracuse just completed a new building for the business school on Marshall St. That's a plus. RIT is good, too, but I like the Syracuse campus and reputation.

Trust me on this; pick the one with the lowest cost if there is a significant cost differential. Both a good choices and about equal in reputation.

Did you get any scholaship money from either one? If so, how much?

However, as I said in a prior post, they have differing cultures. You need to visit each school and check them out.

i got 4500 a year at RIT

and i live in rochester

You got no money from Syracuse? If not, go to RIT. Rit is a few thousand cheaper to begin with. In addition, a $4,500 yearly scholarship really makes it inexpensive.

what were your stats if i may ask?

Sucuse 1414, what were your stats? My daughter got 1810 on the SAT plus had a 3.45 unweighted GPA. Weighted GPA was 3.95 and got $6,000. However, she had a very strong portfolio and had 16 credits of actual college courses ( part of which were from two pre-college programs) with an overall GPA of 3.65 or so.

taxguy, u're daughter got into syracuse rd? when did she find out?

Wannagotocornell, She got into RIT. The scholarship noted was for RIT. We are still awaiting Syracuse information;however, she was pretty much told that she would be admitted to Syracuse after they saw her portfolio.
