Got into B'ley, UCLA, has not submitted SIR

<p>Hello, fellow parents and millennials who can clue me in:</p>

<p>I thought my troubles were over when my young 'un was accepted to both UCLA and Berkeley. Youngster has yet to submit a Statement of Intent to Register to either school. I mean, pick one! </p>

<p>I have asked about this three times - my limit. Spouse won't take the issue up. I cannot imagine what the hold-up is. Kid picked these schools to apply to, and did not register at other worthy schools. I am stumped and sick to my stomach. It's been a rocky road to get to this point - this is a UC transfer.</p>

<p>Is this standard behavior? To get into top schools and then delay accepting admission??</p>

<p>Perfectionism paralyzes. It could be that your son is afraid to make the choice. Give him the reminder one last time near the end of the month. It is so frustrating to deal with sons who won’t voice fears and won’t take action. So many last minute… You will survive. PS- there is a reason kids leave home for college- what we don’t know won’t drive us crazy!</p>
