Hey everyone! I was just recently admitted to Cal (which was a complete surprise to me) and needless to say I'm EXTREMELY excited, but to be honest I'm intimidated as well.

I was admitted to the College of Letters and Science for Fall.

My question starts with this: I'm actually very interested in business. So, what would I need to do to get into Haas School of Business?

From what I've heard and read, it's very competitive to get into the school, somewhere near 50% of applicants within Cal.

Now, I plan to work my butt off to get into the business school, but if I'm denied, my back ups are:

Economics

Environmental Economics

The issue is, both of these majors are "capped" majors, meaning they're impacted. So my next question is, if I had to defer to one of these majors, how hard would it be to get into one of them if they're both impacted?

Cal has always been my dream school, but I'm not sure I want to go there if I can't get into any of these majors.

Please leave any answers and information that could help me out. I've been wracking my brains all week because of this!

Thanks in advance to everyone!
