well, i have a friend that went to the info session for GSP last saturday (and got the formal acceptance the same day) and the dean of GSP said the form was binding. heard alot of people weren't happy about that.

When I got my acceptance package I received a letter that I had two weeks to complete. Basically if you mark Yes on that letter then it is binding. However, if you don't mark yes then obviously it isn't binding. The second I saw the letter I marked yes! This has been my dream forever I can't believe its actually happening!

There seems to be some confusion as to whether GSP is binding. The way it works is this, if you were referred to GSP, you are no longer obligated to attend NYU according to your Early Decision agreement. However, if you choose to attend GSP and indicate so on the agreement letter, then that is just as binding as your original Early Decision agreement. In other words, you don't HAVE to go to GSP because it wasn't what you originally applied for, but if you DO choose to go to GSP, then you're bound, and have to withdraw any other apps you may have out there, just like any other Early acceptee.

dorms guys, dorms...do we still get to pick? any definitive answers on that? (did anyone mention that at the gsp info sessions?)

From what I've heard we still get to pick. What are the good dorms to get?
