So, I checked my Gibson portal this past Saturday and found out that I was admitted to the School of Science and Engineering as a transfer student. I haven’t yet received my login details for my personalized admitted student page. Is it possible that Tulane awarded me any merit scholarship? My application was quite strong. I don’t know how difficult it is to be admitted here. According to the merit scholarship page, it looks as though I should qualify for some partial tuition money, but I am not completely sure.
The only scholarships for transfer students are the Phi Theta Kappa Award for those transferring from 2 year schools

and the Collegiate Achievement Award for those transferring from 4 year schools.

Luckily for you, should you get one, they are $15,000/year starting this fall, up from $10,000.
No separate application is required, they will automatically consider you. I believe they will tell you if you got one or not in your paper acceptance letter. Good luck!!
@fallenchemist Unfortunately, $15,000 per year isn’t enough for me to be able to afford going to school there. I was strongly under the impression that I would be able to get at least a partial tuition scholarship. That is part of the reason why I applied there. Perhaps I should get in touch with the financial aid office and see if they can offer me any aid. The application was free for me, so I figured why not give it a shot. I guess, if all else fails, I can say that I at least got into a good school. I also applied to Wake Forest University, Brandeis University and my state’s flagship university (as a backup). Anyway, thank you for your help. Much appreciated.
@ivytransferer
What I am referring to is merit aid (scholarships) only. Need based aid is a totally separate issue, and you might indeed qualify for that. Financial aid is the correct place to see if you might get money from there.
@fallenchemist
Just an update. I did, indeed, receive the Phi Theta Kappa scholarship (worth $15,000 per year). Still waiting to hear back from them regarding need-based aid.
Congrats on the scholarship!
I’m just curious, did you find this information on the portal, or did you have to wait for an acceptance package?
@mullaneyj6
I found the information on the portal. I’m still waiting on my acceptance package through the mail.
