UCSD has always been my dream school. However, I got into UCSD, which is looked upon slightly higher…I live in a small town (pop 3000) with a small school (pop 150) so i think LA might be a big jump for me…

as you can assume, i was NOT expecting acceptance into UCLA with 1030 SAT scores, 1030 SAT II scores, and an unweighted GPA of 3.6 (weighted its like a 3.75)

however, i had more EC’s than i knew how to deal with…most night i dont get home until 10 pm because im so busy, and i have presidency and captain in many clubs/organizations/sports

i have also overcome severe hardships

anywho, im in both, and now i dont know what to do…i want to major in biology, and for all of you who know the UCSD system, i was put into Revelle : /

1030 sat score? no offense, but you could get that score by pretty much leaving the test blank. i don't wanna be rude but i don't really believe it..duck tales? obviously i might be wrong

well, while looking htat their selection criteria, they play close attention to those who have overcome sever challenges, which i have, so im sure that bumped me up a bit...or A LOT actually

Flippy: 1) Bite me. I'm a California National Merit Scholar. My best friend's mom is a UCSD admissions officer. Shut the **** up.

2) Bull*. The UCs don't give a * about SATs. Period. GPA is extremely important, but if you bomb the SATs you still have a shot at ALL of them. Hence all of these people who didn't even break 2000 getting into UCLA with above-average GPAs or special situations. Everyone I know with strong SATs and low GPAs was rejected.

Um, DUH SATS are part of their decision, but it is certainly not a major factor, unlike at some schools. Just look. Therefore, I have come to the conclusion that UCs don't give a **** about SATs. Period.

What are you talking about? I know they're not important. Who the hell are you anyways? How do you know me?

Oh, ya. I just imagined that post, by you, calling me and the other person stupid for thinking that SATs aren't important. Then you just happen to look at this exact same board after its been deleted. Hm. That's funny.

Lol, CC isn't a good place to argue. Especially not a good place to argue with morons like summerskter whose contradictory arguements are laughable. I'd rather delete the post and laugh away while summerskter sounds like he's about to blow. ;)

Hey genius: it's "arguments." Ya. I'm the moron. I'm also not a "he."

You deleted that post before I even said anything. Oh, gosh, you're just on a roll with those lies, huh? My "arguements" are contradictory? Point out one. Be my guest.

When someone insults me, I get ****ed. Especially when they call ME dumb/moron when they don't even know me and can't even spell one of my 6th grade Wordly Wise words. By the way, you look pretty ridiculous trying to wriggle yourself out of a lie and what you know was a stupid statement about something you obviously know nothing about. You can't argue with that. That is why, I presume, SenorMatador is laughing at you, not with you. And so am I.

yeah...i was at golf practice and my mom called me...im like did i get into UCSD?! and shes all no not yet...but you got into UCLA and i almost dropped the phone...

erm, i didnt even bother to send UCLA my SAT score cus i didnt want to pay the extra nine bucks cus i thought there was no chance in heck that i would get in, but i guess they got them from college board

and i believe that the reason why they look at gpa more is because gpa shows you try harder...i know PLENTY of ppl who are slackers in school and just dont try, but they have genius SAT scores...colleges want ppl who will work hard

1560 on new? ok then, i believe you for sure since i know some other ppl with ur score who got in. i thought u meant 1030 on the new one, my bad
