So I'm a transfer. I got a 3.6, it went down to a 3.2 after they factored in a 5 unit class my mom forced me to take at CC, when I was in 10'th grade .

The 3.2 was fine, I applied for a TAG, and was accepted into UCSB. I am taking 4 classes this semester, and ended up with professors who are playing favorites with students. It's just 2 of the 4 classes, but those classes are hurting me. I do all the class work in groups, and I end up with the lowest grade out of everyone in the group. Stuff that keeps on happening. It's becoming rather frustrating.

Anyways, here's what I want to ask. Now that I've been accepted how low can my G.P.A, drop before they rescind their offer? I am a political science major, and the class is : Macro economics.

3.2 is the exact GPA needed for a TAG, since I'm admitted, I have done the SIR, and will be sending transcripts before hey see the other grade should I be worried?

I'm on my phone so sorry if there are any grammatical mistakes.

I think the minimum requirement is 3.0 GPA. Stop complaining and start fixing your grades now before it is too late. It is in your contract that you must keep a certain level of GPA or your admission contract is voided.

Yeah, you should stop blaming everyone else for your poor scores. Especially if it’s happening in two of your classes, that should be an obvious clue that it’s probably just you. Although, I relate with you on being forced to take college classes while in high school. I had that problem also. It’s a bummer.

Well it’s the same teacher for both classes =/. I’m not blaming him, it’s a problem he’s being reviewed by the dean, because of numerous complaints. I’m fine with being challenged, but he’s just unfair.

There should have been a guideline to what your GPA should be right before you SIR’ed. I think for most schools it’s just keeping up to a 2.8 and receiving only C’s or above.

IIRC a very knowledgeable poster cough Ms. Sun cough stated that you would need to maintain a reasonably close GPA to your current GPA since the 3.0 requirement isn’t strict; there are transfers getting into UC’s with 2.7-2.9’s and it wouldn’t make sense to impose a 3.0 gpa requirement on them after getting admitted. Just don’t tank your classes and you should be fine. Also, the UCSB contract stated to maintain your grades, not to have a 3.0 minimum tho. I’d say just not to tank any classes with D’s or F’s and maintain a 2.8+ to be safe.
