Hi guys, I am accepted to UT Austin ( :) ), but, I wanted to get into college of nursing (my first choice). However, they put me in college of Natural Sciennce (aw :( ). It's my second choice (undeclared major) because it's the closest to medical-related subjects. Is there any way I should do to persuade them to accept me to college of nursing? I'm thinking about calling them. Suggestions would be appreciated!

I never understand colleges who don’t admit you to your chosen major, yet still think you might attend. If you want to get into nursing, seems to me there are plenty of schools to choose from. The point of college is to eventually get to the career, so I say, just keep looking for the school that will get you where you hope to be AFTER college!

[School of Nursing | The University of Texas at Austin | Prospective Students](http://www.utexas.edu/nursing/html/prospective/admissions_general.html) describes admission to the nursing major, including procedures for internal transfer students (i.e. students at UT Austin who want to switch to the pre-nursing major).

Note that after completing the prerequisites as a pre-nursing major, you need to apply again to continue as a nursing major.
