Got into VPA :/ transfer?

<p>Hi, I got into Syracuse (yay), but to my third choice which is College of Visual and Performing Arts, Rhetorical Studies and Communication Department... :(</p>

<p>My first choice was the dual major between Whitman and Newhouse which was why I can see why I didn't get that.
Is there a way to be in CAS my first year instead of VPA and then transfer into the dual program after my first year?</p>

<p>I really like Syracuse. And also, does anyone know how to apppeal for more financial aid? Or can they match with let's say Macaulay Honors? (I got into Macaulay Baruch!)</p>

<p>Yes you can switch to CAS by doing a transfer request which is pretty easy. You can even call admission and do it now before you start college.</p>
