got my housing- bursley- does that suck?

is it really inconvenient to be on north campus-bursley?
i think that was my second choice...
are there many freshman placed there, or will i be one of the few?
what's it like up in north campus? really quiet??

As they say, "at least we aren't Baits."

You'll be fine. Even tho kids gripe about being on North Campus, Bursley has one of the highest rates of students who decide to return there for another year and the best food. About 1/3 of the freshman class is on North Campus - that's at least 1800 students. Theory is that because it's more inconvenient to go out after hours, kids tend to hang around the dorm more - and create more social life in the dorm. You just have to plan a little better to get the bus to central campus - and you'll need to stake out some places to study in between classes and remember to bring everything you'll need with you.

since im a fresh living in an apartment on central campus, u can always drop by :)

Hey, how late do the busses run snorky? I would hate to miss the last bus and be forced to walk back.

I think it's 2 AM or something like that.

I think the north campus bus runs from 7:00AM to 12:20AM ... after that you can call for free taxi service at UGLI. You can look it up on the U-M website under Transportation Services.

Still a royal pain in the 2424, however.

The only negative I associate with Bursley is the location. But it is a good dorm with decent food...and the NCRB (North Campus Recreation Building) is right accross the street, so going to gym is a snap!

I got Bursley too...I'm upset I didnt get anything on central

You and 2000 other freshmen.
